Responsibilities:
- AWS Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure AWS infrastructure components, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, IAM roles, and security groups.
- Continuous Integration and Deployment: Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring smooth and frequent releases of applications.
- Automation: Develop and enhance automation scripts using tools like AWS CloudFormation, AWS CLI, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Monitoring and Logging: Set up monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify performance issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize system performance.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices, access controls, and data encryption to maintain a highly secure and compliant environment.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators, and operations to ensure smooth integration of development and production environments.
- Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and devise solutions to enhance application and infrastructure performance.
- Incident Management: Participate in incident response and resolution, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
- Stay up-to-date: Keep up with the latest developments and trends in AWS services and DevOps practices, and apply relevant advancements to improve the infrastructure.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of the infrastructure, processes, and procedures for effective knowledge sharing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a primary focus on AWS services.
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud architecture and services like EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, etc.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and firewall configurations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
